  1. This IS a sad story, but beautiful drawing! And it evokes a strong memory that makes me feel your pain, Lauren. One summer I sublet an apartment during summer session at BG. The primary renters said we could leave things there for a week until school started, but hey put them outside by the trash can. Gone. I spent a couple of days looking for “my stuff” at the landfill. Just the other day, an aha! They probably read the love letters from my boyfriend (husband) and sold my new books for the fall semester back to the bookstore. Maybe your beautiful ornaments are really making another child believe in magic. Glad you could sketch your memories in this sad small story that shares the feeling of something so small leaving a big hole in our sentimental memorabilia. Thanks.
